tuesday treats

it's lovely to start the day at brekky together. poppy used her new bunnykins spoon independently to have some yoghurt; very little yoghurt, but still! our mornings are variable but generally look like: up for brekky at 7am (poppy has usually played quietly in her bed for the last 15 mins); mama makes daddy's lunch so we sample the cheese, salami, etc (she loves hot hungarian salami!); daddy makes tea or coffee, depending on the sort of night's sleep that's been had; we say and wave "bye bye" to daddy at the door; we roll out the yoga mat and do some yoga and some play and some reading and some watching fifi and the flowertots (fifi's voice is 'little voice' Jane Horricks!); we play in poppy's room; we talk with the puppies; we clean our teeth; we walk for 40 mins (sometimes we walk to the park for a swing); we have some stories and then milky to settle for a sleep and then mama makes coffee and eventually gets to the computer, only after the kitchen is tidy, the bed is made and the washing is on! this blogspot will, with any luck, keep me writing, though the writing may be of questionable quality and no one ever need read it. if no other purpose is served then, it will be a good way to let aunty lorelei know about the little things that she might start to miss, having spent considerable time with poppalina before transferring to nyc. and uncle lachy might be a bit interested, having never even met poppalina. a warning though, for those family members (only those family members. thanks other family members. mum will only make obscure comments and dad will only correct grammatical errors)...I don't do vignettes. very well. but sometimes I will try. just in case there's a book in it one day. in any event, I know a good editor and publisher......

later today we'll see the nanny, aunty karen, perhaps with her tuesday treats. I teach the cert IV (performing arts) girls. scenes today, from west side story. tuesdays used to include shopping and coffee and lunch out but we're all on a tighter budget at the moment, hence the tuesday treats. last week, as an homage to lv in nyc; BAGELS! with cream cheese! mmmmmm! had I baked even more of them yesterday, we might have enjoyed cupcakes later today, however; I baked four dozen delicious vanilla cupcakes especially for poppy's party and they are all in the freezer until friday! hands off!
