Mama M'leea, TAKE THE BARE BELLY PICS (these were from february so only just 6mths)! you WILL want them later and you will miss that belly, believe it or not! and my busiest social time was right before I got pregnant (had a real single moment that lasted a few months, actually. drove Sam crazy.) and during pregnancy too. and during the first 12 weeks of Poppy's life because everyone wanted to meet her, of course. and....well, you know we've never really stopped. anyway, everyone invited me everywhere because I was usually happy to drive! I can still pull that card on Sam- I've been designated driver for much of the last 2 years so he has a lot of non-drinking-nights to catch up on!
bit of a buddha belly
Poppy is about to do the daycare thing after all because I may be accepting a contract that starts in 2 weeks! would rather not, however; it's time to make some money again. one day the rest of the world will catch onto what Sweden's been up to and pay stay-at-home-parents in appreciation for bringing up their beautifully behaved citizens. our big daycare challenge is not settling in, she's already visited twice and loves it there (she'll only go tuesdays to start, then mondays too. nanny might have to make herself available on wednesdays and thursdays, until those days become available) but the little sleep that still requires milky prior to it. this morning I gave her a bottle instead of putting her on the boob. tomorrow she can try an earlier snack and a soy bottle. as Sam commented a few weeks ago, it's a pity to try to wean, now that she is signing so clearly and deliberately! today she asked for milky repeatedly and didn't get it! so "milky" becomes a bottle, which I was trying to avoid (the whole bottle phase. we were going to skip it. still, no bottles in bed). we'll see how we go. you have so much to think about before toweanornottowean!
will let you know if I end up back at work or not!
Xanthe (and Poppy, who has cleverly settled herself without milky)
p.s. you'd better pinch harry potter back, before someone lets something slip! I had to pinch my copy back from Sam and he IS a tough guy!
