missing mt isa

no, no, not actually missing it as such. at all. probably not ever. but we are in fact, missing a reunion at one of the ol' fave watering holes, the normanby, in Brisvegas on the weekend; though a lot of the people with whom we hung out won't be there because they are OS or on one coast or the other and not making the drive (better than 22 hours inland!) or, inconveniently for this particular gig, they are still in mt isa. reminds me- apparently Chantelle is taking on rock pop mime (mt isa's sorry answer to rock eisteddfod and wakkakirri. haha, pick my age there; it's been called rock challenge for years!) Chantelle, they say there's a sucker born every minute; and you're it, girlfriend! (I think it is Barnum Bailey who has been given the credit for saying so). but how interesting must hvss be at the moment, with the girls running it? well done, Amanda, who was always going to get to the top of the EQ ladder. nearly there! I know you can see the top from the deputy's rung! and almost everyone has children. how things change. and stay the same...
