well, so much for our serious discussion on not doing a show together again until Poppy reaches the age of oh, I don't know, let me see, let me see....ONE! yes, we have an info session tomorrow at Lind Lane (our new home, it seems) for the broadway musical Baby (lyrics by Richard Maltby Jnr and music by David Shire). we are expecting to see Russell there (hence the obscure link and the excuse to add another pic here from most recent production). Tim would like Sam and I to audition for the thirty-something (extremely sporty; both coaches of uni teams) couple, who are trying to have a baby. there's also a twenty-something couple who actually have a baby (final blackout on the baby's first cry!) and a forty-something couple, who are also having a baby, unexpectedly; having raised three daughters already. it's cute, wordy, witty, upbeat and sometimes tender, a bit sondheim, a bit seussical, a bit little shop. hmmm, I know! too good an opportunity to miss! not to mention the fabulous direction (Tim Paige), musical direction (Deb E did Nunsense with me) and another small cast and a smallish ensemble. sooooooo! Nanny and Bugsy will have the opportunity to babysit after all, having missed all of that beautiful baby time with Poppalina during I Love You!
